Trolley Adventure

Before I’d even unpacked from my holiday
I went into town on Saturday to take my photos to be developed.
Owing to the fact that I didn’t get up until 2.30pm (don’t you love jet lag?) I didn’t get there until nearly 5 o’clock. I rang a friend to see what he was up to and was invited down to Jesus Green to join him and others at a barbeque they were having. How could I refuse?
Five hours later, after a very enjoyable evening spent lazing in the sun eating and drinking, the ever-expanding crowd decided to venture to Cambridge’s bars and clubs. But first the organisers
had to take all the barbeque stuff home – in a shopping trolley they’d come with. Now, you might think that that’s a perfectly easy thing for a group of adults in their late 20s and early 30s. Oh no.
Perhaps we had a flashback to our early days at Millennium, or perhaps it was the alcohol, but somehow Matt ended up sitting in the trolley with all the food stuff. If it wasn’t his idea then I doubt he took much persuading. He was then pushed through the streets of Cambridge, being joined by Mitch’s bicycle (complete with red bike light) along the route. Ah, it was just like the good old days – particularly as I did my usual thing of enjoying the spectacle
without getting too involved. See, I’m just loitering in the background.
